change download url in PyPi so that easy_install works
Status: closed (fixed)

If the download url in Cherrypy's PyPi entry would point to the sourceforge download page instead of just cherrypy.org, EasyInstall would work which means we could do "easy_install Cherrypy" and it would install it :)

This has been fixed. The 2.2.1 download_url on PyPI points to the 2.2.1 download location and the 3.0 download_url points to the 3.0 download location.

Or change the link at PyPi? to point to the download page at cherrypy.org and there add a direct link to the latest file ie. http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/cherrypy/CherryPy-2.1.0-beta.tar.gz?download
